Introduction |

I want to praise the spirit of sacrifice of all the soldiers who participated in the Korean War and to inform the world of the reason for building the world's first ‘Busan Special Peace and Culture Zone for the United Nations'. As a citizen from a uniquely divided country in the world, I also want to ruminate on the lessons of the Korean War in hopes that this tragedy will not be forgotten in Korea, by those who experienced the war but also by the succeeding generations as well. |

We hope to make the 'Busan Special Peace and Culture Zone for the united nations' a place that embodies human dignity and peace, by paying tribute to the sprit of those young soldiers' sacrifices which helped to make our Korea a place where people can live in freedom and peace. Moreover, following in a spirit of gratitude for the Korean war veterans, we hope to embody their spirit of sacrifice and great contributions towards a world unified through peace. |
